Foreign owned Electronic/ Engineering Company manufacturing Fibre Optic/ Copper cable systems and precision components for export, requires a,

The candidates’ responsibilities will be as follows, but not limited to:
  1. Reading engineering and cable harness drawings (Fibre and Copper).
  2. Researching standards associated to components (IPC, UL, CSA, BS, MIL).
  3. Creating BOMs, Sourcing of components and sending out RFQs for new projects
  4. Sourcing correct tooling and equipment for new/existing projects.
  5. Creation of Machine/tooling maintenance and work procedures.
  6. Creation of Quotations and product costings.
  7. Creation/improvement of assigned project Work Procedures.
  8. Maintaining project folders.
  9. Monitoring assigned projects from Quotation to First Delivery.
  10. Supporting Production Manager on technical
The candidate should possess the following;
  1. Qualified or Part Qualified Engineering Degree, preferably in the discipline of Electronic / Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics fields.
  2. At least 3 Years of Experience working with similar responsibilities.
  3. Capable of fluently speaking and writing in English.
  4. Capable of efficiently using Microsoft Excel.
  5. Use of an ERP system or similar software should be second nature.
  6. The ability to grasp situations quickly in order to find solutions.
  7. The enthusiasm to stay organised, read around the subject while creating and working with a plan.
  8. The candidate must be dedicated in order to meet strict deadlines that may occasionally call to work extended hours.
Non-essential added advantages;
  1. Prior experience in working with Fibre Optics or Wire Harnesses.
  2. Knowledge in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  3. Independent mode of travel.

Necessary initial guidance will be given, after which the candidate should have the ability to attend to projects independently and responsibly.
